Someone, and I can't remember who now, told me once (maybe it was Garret) that they got more comments on their shorter blog posts. I am reaffirming that here, but only because I want to. Maybe it's because catching up on blogs can become a chore when we get hurried, but I suspect it is really because short posts are to the point, and often enjoyable because they do not require us to expend much effort. At any rate, I enjoyed this post.
I know what you mean. I often groan when I go to check up on posts and they are a page long. However, that is not going to stop me from writing longer posts, because sometimes you can't say all you want briefly, and sometimes you just need to ramble. Hence, the post name: rambling lal!
